The conference welcomes abstracts for oral or poster presentations from both veterinary and para-veterinary perspectives in all aquatic sectors (aquaculture, ornamentals, research, aquaria etc.), particularly those that address the following general themes or key global issues:
1. Local, Regional, & Global Aquatic Health Challenges and Finding Solutions
2. The Role of the Veterinarian and Para-veterinarian in Aquatic Health Management
3. The Koi Habitat, Pond Management, Clinical Problems and Solutions

- Global efforts for developing a well-trained veterinary and para-veterinary workforce
- The roles of veterinarians and para-veterinarians in addressing aquatic health needs: how do we fit in?
- Aquatic veterinary services and support needs: supporting both developing and developed regions
- Emerging diseases, diseases of African concern, and early disease detection
- One Health: Individual, population, and ecosystem health
- Efforts supporting sustainable aquaculture health needs
- Approach to the aquatic case clinical work-up
- Preventative farm-level health management including biosecurity certification, disease surveillance, best welfare practices, stress management and health, environmental management and health
