Presentation Synopsis:

This session will focus on general and specific similarities and differences between aquatic and terrestrial animal veterinary biosecurity approaches.

 

Presentation Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify key aquatic veterinary biosecurity principles
  2. Become familiar with biosecurity situations in aquatic animal production
  3. Understand limitations and opportunities in practical applications

Speaker Bio:

Prof. Padros is Associate Prof. of UAB responsible for aquatic animal health and is vice-president of ECAAH, former meeting secretary of EAFP. He has over 25 year of experience in the field of aquatic veterinary medicine.

Prof. Palić is the WAVMA Fellow and former President, and current treasurer of ECAAH. His work at the LMU Chair for fish diseases is related to teaching, research and service in aquatic veterinary medicine.
