Presentation Synopsis:

Tenacibaculosis is an emerging disease in salmonid species, in the sea water environment. This presentation aims to describe the disease, and the spp. Which cause it. Furthermore, we will evaluate the risk factor that are associated with outbreaks, current and potential future mitigation methods, and observations from disease model development.

Speaker Bio:

Director of Fish Health at The Center for Aquaculture Technologies in PEI, Canada. Works in a team which aid industry and academia to investigate primary biological questions and develop technologies for the industry which can mitigate the impacts of disease in multiple aquaculture species. Obtained PhD at the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2014, in non-destructive health markers in Atlantic salmon.
