More about this event

Main produced mollusk species are mussels, oysters and clams. This production is threatened by several diseases including viral, bacterial and protozoan diseases. Vaccination, treatment as well as eradication are difficult or even impossible to apply in farms producing molluscs. In this context, preventing the introduction and spread of pathogens and mitigating their impact on host populations is the key to better manage mollusk diseases.
