More about this event

Infectious diseases are one of the main bottlenecks for future development of marine aquaculture. Knowledge about the aetiology, epidemiology, diagnosis of the main bacterial and viral diseases of marine farmed fish are crucial to prevent severe economic losses. Currently, Vibriosis, tenacibaculosis, and photobacteriosis are the most common bacterial diseases. Betanodavirus, the aetiological agent of viral encephalopathy and retinopathy (VER), also known as viral nervous necrosis (VNN), is currently the most important and widespread virus affecting cultured species.

This WebCEPD in organized in partnership with the European Association of Fish Pathologists.
