THE WAVMA CONFERENCE and AGM, Sept. 12-14, 2017, Targu Mures, Romania

Submission deadline: May 1st, 2017. Please, submit all abstracts to Dr Julius Tepper, at cypcarpio@aol.com, for scientific review by the Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings. Authors may be invited to submit a full manuscript for publication in WAVMA's quarterly The Aquatic Veterinarian.

There will be one session on Aquaculture, on Sept 12-13, followed by a one day session on ornamental fish/aquaria animal species. The proposed topics for abstracts range broadly from anatomy of aquatic animals to the One Health concept. Research and clinical practice-based communication, under the form of poster (max. 1 x 1 in size) and oral presentations (of 20 and 45 minutes), are encouraged.

Confirmed key note speakers: Dr. Rodger Hamish, the Global Managing Director of the Fish Vet Group, Dr. Julie Cavin, Associate Veterinarian at the New England Aquarium in Boston, USA, and Dr. Katinka de Balogh, Senior Animal Health and Production Officer at the FAO Regional Office for Asia & the Pacific, and the focal point for antimicrobial resistance and One Health for FAO in Bangkok, Thailand. The participation fee includes attendance of scientific sessions, badge, certificate of attendance, the conference proceedings, coffee breaks, snacks and meals, as well as the AGM dinner, on Sept. 13th.
