Non WAVMA Activities

For those of you interested in manatee rescue and rehabilitation work, there is a periodical newsletter called Sirenews. It is read around the world by scientists and managers that do manatee and dugon conservation, including veterinarians.

The companion volume to Fundamentals of Aquatic Veterinary Medicine, Pathology and Epidemiology of Aquatic Animal Diseases for Practitioners is now available to pre-order at Wiley.com. “A highly useful reference for veterinary practitioners, academic staff, and researchers, Pathology and Epidemiology of Aquatic Animal Diseases is also suitable for those who are interested in aquatic veterinary medicine and serves as a companion to Fundamentals of Aquatic Veterinary Medicine, written by the same editorial team.”

Buying both copies together obtains a 25% discount and remember that all royalties for the Fundamentals book go to WAVMA. The two books together cover completely, and more, the requriements for the WAVMA CertAqV.
