Farmers Workshop at the World Aquatic Health Conference 2022

The purpose and aims of the workshop;

  • Advancing Aquatic Vet medicine and Animal Health in Africa
  • Knowledge and Skills transfer
  • Strengthen the farmer-veterinarian relationship within aquaculture sector
  • Improvement of services for the Aquatic (Aquaculture sector)
  • Promoting local and international veterinary government, produces and supporting industry networking
  • Showcasing South African products and services to international stakeholders to encourage export and collaboration.

In addition, the event will provide a platform to share thoughts and understanding among Farmers, veterinarians and representatives of government and business.

Given that the farmer’s event is the first of its kind within our faculty, we have planned a pre-event briefing that will be of use for any potential stakeholders and sponsors interested in the event. This will be held on Thursday, 29 September 2022 at 10:00. Those who are not available for this slot, there is another briefing session in the afternoon at 15:00, to explain the benefits of the event and clarify our faculty’s expectations of all stakeholders.
