WAVMA Virtual Conference 2016

The theme of the  WAVMA Virtual Conference 2016  is "Sustainability - preserving todays resources for tomorrow". The conference is wide ranging in the topics presented, including talks on nutrition, invertebrate medicine, the societal benefits of ornamental fish, biosecurity, veterinary education and the basic skills required of an aquatic veterinarian. Find out how the veterinary profession contributes to food production and safety, the health and welfare of aquatic animals and wildlife conservation thus contributing to sustainability through their work on a daily basis.

With over 20 speakers, many of them globally recognised experts in their fields there will be plenty to listen to and learn from, whilst the forums will allow debate and discussion. All presentations are eligible for CE/CPD credits and certificates will be issued after listening to the talks, taking and correctly answering  a multiple choice quiz. Presentations will cover aspects of the veterinary role in disease diagnosis, animal health economics, epidemiology, nutrition, physiology, parasitology, and laboratory animal welfare amongst others.

The conference will be streamed “live” on the 3rd and 4th of May but if those dates don’t suit you, then the presentations and the discussion forums will be available for one month post conference so you can learn and gain CPD at a time suitable to you. You can sign up for the conference at wavma.vetacademy.net where you can obtain further information.
